I then subtracted those square roots, which are 64 and 81 to get 17. the middle of 17 is 8.5 so I added 8.5 to 64, getting 72.5. The middle of 8 and 9 is 8.5 so it leads to believe that the square root of 72.5 is 8.5. Now back to 79, it’s closer to 81 than 72.5 so I knew that it would either be 8.6, 8.7, 8.8, or 8.9. I couldn’t decide whether it was one other other so i went with about 8.86. In conclusion, I estimate that the square root of 79 is about 8.86.
