In the first nine weeks I have learned a lot of things.
One specific thing is adding and subtracting integers. It is adding and subtracting negative numbers. For example
-32 + 53= 21
I can do this because I got a 100% on the test. And I am practiced on khan academy
Another thing is multiplying and dividing Integers. For example
-5 x 3= -15
I can do this because I also got an A on this test
We also learned how to preform the distributive property. For example
16 + 8 is the same as 8 x (2+1)
I had some trouble with this but eventually I got it as shown on my test score and on Khan Academy
It is easier to combine like terms with distribution. For example
-11 – 3(-2n + 9) = 6n +-2
My grades also support this
I can evaluate positive, zero, and negative exponents. For example
4^-3 = 1/64
My grades on livegrades show that I understand this.
The last thing we did was simplify expressions using exponents. For example
7 + 6(y+1) = 6y + 13
Overall I would give myself an A because I understand all of the things we did and I got an A on all of the tests.
Nate, this is really good. I appreciate the time and effort you put into your reflection. You provided nice examples too!
